Why is Ghost Mountain Ranch “in Receivership”?
Ghost Mountain Ranch has been placed under the care of a Court Appointed Receiver by the Superior Court of El Dorado County, per the terms of the note, whose terms allow for such an appointment under certain circumstances.
What is a Court Appointed Receiver?
A Court Appointed Receiver is appointed by a judge to act a neutral party between a Defendant (typically the owners of a property) and the Plaintiff (typically a bank). The most important job of the Receiver is to protect the property, tenants/members of the asset, in this case the property of Ghost Mountain Ranch. The Receiver is to take control of the property and ensure that the property is managed. This includes the collection and reconciliation of membership fees, the maintenance of the property, and protection of the visitors and staff members.

Who is the new property manager for Ghost Mountain Ranch?
Under the terms of the appointment, the Receiver is entitled to hire new management to manage the resort and to continue to provide services to its guests. The new management company, hired by the Receiver, is J & H Property Management. They can be reached at (714) 974-0397 or thomas@jandhmgt.com. Please reference Ghost Mountain Ranch when inquiring. J&H also manages numerous other similar properties in California, Nevada and Arizona.
Have my membership or shareholding agreement been cancelled or modified?
All members, shareholders etc. are able and welcome to use the facilities per the terms of their existing contracts. It is important that all visitors continue to observe all rules and regulations of Ghost Mountain Ranch.
My RV/trailer/vehicle is being stored at Ghost Mountain Ranch. What do I do?
We encourage you to continue storing your RV/trailer with Ghost Mountain Ranch per the applicable agreement allowing you to do so. If you would like to pick your vehicle up, a copy of the original title and registration will need to be verified with the Receiver before anything can be removed from the property.
